The media and entertainment sector is on the brink of a technological transformation in how we incubate new ideas and produce media. The bag of tricks for creative entrepreneurs is changing and cross pollination from video games into filmmaking presents an unprecedented opportunity in how creatives can develop and validate new ideas.
The event will focus on Pathway Indie, the $2.5m benefit in-kind virtual production incubator from Pathway. We will discuss how the program is providing creative innovation opportunities for filmmakers to think like start-up founders who innovate with media.

Sony Cinema Line + LED Wall Virtual Production

What is virtual production, how does it work, what can it do, what can’t it do? As well as learning about virtual production this is an opportunity to see Sony’s VENICE 2 camera in action as well as the rest of the Sony Cinema Line cameras. This will be a hands-on event, a chance for you to take part in the filming of a virtual production shoot, press the buttons, play with the cameras, try things for yourself all under the guidance of Sony Ambassador Alister Chapman.
The event will focus on Virtual production with the 8K Sony VENICE 2 but will also be an opportunity to learn more about each camera in Sony’s Cinema Line, from the compact FX6 to the FX9 and including the unique FR7 Full Frame remote pan and tilt camera. Once we have shot with the cameras on the LED stage there will be a short workflow demonstration showing just how easy it to work with the 8K, 16 bit X-OCN files in post production.
